Coat/Book Drive, Movie Night and Gloria Dei

- The Coat/Book Drive is up and running with donations rolling in. The students are collecting and sorting books along with parent volunteers. And the coat donations are coming in as well. Just a reminder that we are only looking for coat sizes 4-20 and please be sure they are in good wearable condition.

We are also looking for volunteers to drive the coats, books and kids down to Corkery School on St. Nicholas Day, Thursday, December 6th. Parents need to be to school by 8am and we will return by Noon. Please contact Therese Brandenstein theresepb@aol.com or Marian Kriztler m.kritzler@sbcglobal.net to volunteer, or if you have any questions.

- Don't forget to mark your kids calendars for Christmas Movie Night - Saturday, December 1st in Fitzgerald Hall. A flyer will be going home this week with more details.

- This Tuesday November 20th we are in need of a volunteer to watch the kids in their classrooms over lunch, from 12:10 to 12:40pm due to a play going on in the school hall that day. Please contact Kelly Aguayo aguayodg@sbcglobal.net if you're available.

- We are still in need of lunch volunteers for Market Day. Your help would be greatly appreciated:
Tuesday, December 4th
Tuesday, February 12th
Tuesday, April 15th
Tuesday, May 13th

- For over 15 years St. Joseph 8th grade students have volunteered their time each December at the Gloria Dei Adult Day Care Center on Main Street across from Downers Grove North HS. The students are asked to spend an hour or two with the seniors and do a craft. Chic, the coordinator from Gloria Dei says it is amazing what joy this brings the residents. 17 Students will have the opportunity to serve the seniors on the morning of Thursday, December 6th concurrently with the Corkery School delivery. Please encourage your student to take part in this meaningful Christmas Gift.

Confirmation will be Friday, April 11th at 7:30pm
May the Holy Spirit's Sacramental Grace
strengthen and perfect their souls
